THEMED COSTUMES FOR TEDDY BEARS
Would you like to make a costume for a teddy bear for a friend, family member or yourself? The teddies will be invited to attend a Teddy Bears’ Picnic during the Berwick 900 festival. Terri Bearhope has created a knitted pattern for a teddy bear’s sweater which can be used to fit in with some of the Berwick 900 themes. The pattern can be downloaded from the Berwick 900 website www.berwick900.org.uk/bear.html. Patterns are also available from the Needle Works shop in Hide Hill. Terri will also be providing a workshop for beginners or improvers on Saturday 14th March 10.00am till 2.00pm. This workshop is free, but please bring: £1 for tea/coffee/biscuits, 4mm, 4.5mm or 5mm knitting needles, and at least 50g of 'Double knit' yarn or wool. Naomi Kenny and Val Knowles’ project involves creating costumes and props for “A Day in the 1940s” on 10th May and the Mayor’s Parade on 24th May.
